New Sensory Snug

Our 'Sensory Snug' is a bespoke space accessible to all pupils designed to support energy levels.
We are excited to announce that Slindon College now has a new sensory room, named by the pupils the 'Sensory Snug'.
The aim of the Sensory Snug is to support regulation by accessing strategies and tools to adjust pupils' energy levels. The space will be used to help build the pupils' self-recognition of what strategies and tools best support their energy and consequently learning needs.
To help achieve this, the room is broken up into zones, all providing a range of activities to support pupil’s individual sensory and regulation needs.
Our Lead Occupational Therapist, Sacha Clark-Schrickel has been instrumental in the creation of the new Sensory Room. Sacha and our Chairman of Governors, Stuart Lawrance opened the new Sensory Snug on Monday 25th March.
