Individualised Education

At Slindon College we provide a specialist learning environment and highly individualised education to all pupils from year 4 through to Sixth Form. Underpinning our school ethos is strong pastoral care and small class sizes which ensure pupils thrive as their strengths are understood and called upon to encourage further learning exploration.

Removing Barriers to Learning

We believe passionately in the importance of the individual and removing learning barriers. Every child at Slindon College is valued for who they are, each child is encouraged to develop their talents and the College supports them to achieve their personal best.

Exceptional Learning Support

Our focus and philosophy is very much to support the strengths of individuals who have found   mainstream education challenging and require an alternative approach in order to achieve their best.

We offer an individualised learning ‘pace’ and provide specialist support for a wide range of Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) including (but not limited to); literacy and numeracy difficulties, speech, language and communication difficulties, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Dyspraxia.

As our pupils will tell you, in our community, “We are all the same because we are all different”.

A Wide Curriculum

Learning opportunities at Slindon College are plentiful. In addition to core classroom based subjects, our offering extends to everything from specialist drama and music sessions through to Land Based Studies on our college farm and Design Technology and Engineering and Motor Mechanics.  Our Greenpower electric car racing team is one of our most popular enrichment activities

Mental Fitness

Our Mental Fitness Team at Slindon College provides unwavering support to all our pupils for their emotional ‘growth’, resilience and overall well-being. We hold the Carnegie Centre of Excellence for Mental Health in Schools Silver Award. Slindon College also took Highly Commended in the Wellbeing and Mental Health Initiative Award at the Boarding Schools Association Supporting Excellence Awards 2024.
