National Boarding Week
Celebrating Boarding!
Those who board at Slindon College share an environment which we work hard to make as homely and enjoyable as possible. With a family orientated atmosphere, our school offers all pupils a safe, respectful and structured lifestyle. Boarders enjoy a supportive and nurturing environment in which they can flourish both personally and academically.
Boarding at Slindon College is based on the following values:
- Respect
- Individuality
- Courtesy and good will
- Continual drive for development
- Excellence
- Strength in partnership
Step Challenge Day
As part of National Boarding Week - the Boarding House took part in a 'Step Challenge.' Our pupils set themselves the task of making and selling elderflower cordial at our local Slindon College fare, deciding to raise the money for St Mary's Church, Slindon. Well done, Boarders! Mission complete!
Sustainability Day
Our boarders took a trip to Marwell Zoo to see how the company combat sustainability when working with animals.
Most of the green waste produced at the Zoo goes to good use. Waste wood is chipped to line enclosures and larger logs are piled into log stacks in the grounds to provide homes for invertebrates. The rest of the green waste is composted off site.
Summer Solstice Day
Our boarders took time out to enjoy the Summer Solstice by walking in our stunning local village! They even did a spot of gardening!
Mindfulness Day
Nothing like the seaside to anchor you to the here and now. Our boarders enjoy a trip to Pagham Beach amusements and beach.
