Chichester Foodbank Donations for Christmas

A trip to Chichester Foodbank

Hoping to spread some Christmas joy, our Senior Pupil Team, Alistair R. (Head Boy) and prefects Bert G. (Cowdray House), Freddie T. (Norfolk House), Alfie W. (Richmond House) and Toby L. (Sussex House) delivered to the Chichester Foodbank.

Chichester Foodbank provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and other essentials to local people who are referred to us in crisis.

Volunteers signpost people to agencies who can help provide support with a wide range of issues, including housing, debt management, childcare and mental wellbeing.

They are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by Trussell, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.

The pupils had a look in the warehouse and learnt a little more about the Foodbank operation and how it helps people. Pupils weighed their donation which totalled 81kg and then had a go at sorting the items into categories.

We would like to say thank you to all who donated.
