N.B - Where permission has been obtained regarding the use of personal devices that can be used without going through the College's secure IT system, these must be subject to appropriate safeguards in line with College’s policies. Any personal devices used by pupils, whether or not such use is permitted, may be confiscated and examined under such circumstances. I understand that my child/ward will be involved in a programme of boarding activities outside of school hours that may involve running, jumping, water and use of sporting equipment, thus exposing him to situations and physical activity not usually encountered in a classroom. I acknowledge that while Slindon College, its staff, associated instructors and volunteers will make every reasonable effort to minimise exposure to known risks, all hazards and dangers associated with these activities cannot be foreseen or may be beyond the control of Slindon College, its staff, volunteers and associated instructors.
The cost of weekend boarding activities, up to the value of £35 per weekend, may be added to the fee.
I understand that any costs incurred in repairing or replacing property of Slindon College or its staff's property when caused by wilful damage by my child/ward, will be my responsibility.
I understand that it is the parent's/guardian's responsibility to provide the information requested on this form and to advise the College in writing , in a timely fashion, if this information changes. A non-return of information will be as no change in these records. Slindon College accepts no responsibility for any outcomes from information contained in this form being incomplete or inaccurate.
Prohibited items in Boarding:
The following items are not permitted in boarding facilities:
- Chewing gum
- Indecent or offensive posters
- Heaters or blankets
- Animals
- Cigarettes
- Alcohol
- Fireworks
- Pornographic material
- Weapons of any kind
All videos, DVDs, games and other age-sensitive material must be age appropriate. Any items that are not will be removed and returned to parents/guardians.
We request for all sweets/tuck to be handed in on arrival so that this can be handed out at appropriate times.
